Craniac Celebration

When the whooping cranes finally made their arrival in Florida in February, the students celebrated by eating our "Craniac Chow" and writing thank you postcards to the organizations that assist in helping the cranes.  The items in the "Craniac Chow" represent real items that the cranes eat.

Postcard Suggestions

I have five different classes and each class wrote to a different organization that assists with the whooping cranes.  The postcard had three requirements that had to be fulfilled.  1. Each student had to write a thank you about how that particular organization helped with the cranes.  2.  Each student had to write one statement of encouragement to the organization.  3.  Each student had to write one thing they learned about cranes throughout the migration.
