4th Grade Rules

1.  Be considerate of others.
2.  Talk in an appropriate manner.
3.  Have material ready at the start of class.
(At midterm of 1st quarter, breaking
this rule becomes a written warning)
4.  Keep hands, feet, and object to yourself.
5.  Obey all school rules.

 

Consequences

1.  First infraction: child receives a verbal warning.


2.  Second infraction: child receives a written warning.


3.  Third infraction: a check mark is added to the
warning and a late penalty is served.

a.m. - child goes to back of lunch line
p.m. - child packs up to go home but
remains seated in room 2 min. after
the dismissal bell

4.  Fourth infraction - parents will be notified with
a sign and return note.  This is stapled in the
assignment notebook.  If note is not returned
the next school day, the parents will
be contacted by phone or mail.


5.  Three notes home result in a loss of the special
event at the end of the quarter.

6.  If four or more notes are required, the principal
will become involved.

 

5th Grade Discipline Procedure

Discipline - The fifth grade team understands that students will make mistakes from time to time.  If the mistake is such that the teacher needs to repeat a warning, a written warning will be noted in the classroom folder.

Pink Slip - A student whose behavior requires more than just a verbal warning from a teacher will receive a pink slip.  This note must be signed by the parent and returned to school the next day.

Detention - In a situation where a student's behavior is considered severe, a detention will be issued.  The office will also send notification home. 

**All of these consequences are noted in the classroom folder and can result in the loss of Friday Fun!
