The "Crane Folding Factory" opens one day per year.  It is the goal of the students to attempt to fold 1000 or more cranes.  This year the students successfully completed 1004 origami paper cranes in one school day.  It is a record for the 4th grade.

This group of students works hard at squishing and flattening in the "Crane Folding Factory." This student is counting the cranes and making sure they are the proper quality or he sends them back down the assembly line.
This is a student from another class also keeping tally of how many paper cranes are going through the line. Here the cranes are being paper clipped onto a string so they can later be hung down the hallway.
The hanging of the cranes continues. Payday is a week after the factory closes.  All students received fictitious checks for working in the "Crane Folding Factory" for the day.
Cashing in the check.  Oooh!  Money!!
