| It took one day to complete the
float for the parade. The theme of it is "The
Christmas Crane Clan" Celebrates in Florida. |
Here is the "Crane Clans"
presents under the palm tree. |
 |
 |
| Not sure if these cranes will stand
for the whole parade or not. They might need some
reinforcement. |
Some ingenious boys came up with a
plant to put some boxes under their wings for support. |

float. The palm tree lights up too. |
From one side of the float. |
 |
 |
| Finally,
the parade day. The temperature started out in the morning
with a whooping -12 degrees. Brrr! By parade time
though, it had reached nearly 15 degrees. |
Due to
the wind, we had to have a few float riders to hold up the heads
and tails of the cranes. The wind liked to bend them over,
making them unrecognizable cranes. |
 |
 |
| Here is
the start of the one-float parade. We had to announce who
we were. |
Nearly,
100 4th Grade Craniacs participated in the one-float
parade. All were extremely excited. |
 |
 |
| About
1/2 of the Craniacs were able to wear the Nekoosa Craniac logo
that Mrs. Hartman especially created for them. |
It was a
short parade, only 10 minutes. We want to thank all of the
5th-8th graders and their teachers for coming out in the bitter
cold and watching us. |
